Cowtown Pugs actually started out almost by accident.
Several years ago there was a dog trainer who enjoyed hanging out with her puggy students. They started meeting up weekly for pug playtimes and as word traveled Cowtown Pugs just kind of happened.
In 2004 they started their first Yahoo group mail list. Since that time, all of the members have gotten interested in helping the rescues, in any way they can… be it by fostering, transporting, financial support, or just spreading the word about pug recue (be sure to use the “rescue a pug” button on the home page to go check out dfwpugs.com our local pug rescue site).
As we continue to grow we are hoping to plan more Pug Events to benefit the rescues.
